ENTREPRENEURSHIP
G.R.O.W. Community Care's Entrepreneur Program: Where Therapeutic Skill-building Meets Real-life Responsibility

G.R.O.W. Community Care offers a transformative summer program that empowers youth to start and manage their own businesses. This program helps teens who may experience low mood, anxiety, depression, or trauma, the program fosters confidence, emotional resilience, and healthy daily routines that promote consistency, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of purpose.

In partnership with the Enoch Pratt Free Library, the “PRATTpreneur” program engages teens ages 14–16 in hands-on entrepreneurship training. Over eight weeks, participants turn creative ideas into real businesses—registering companies, building websites, and developing product prototypes.

Alongside business skills, students build competencies in public speaking, teamwork, and critical thinking, which enhance self-esteem, social skills, and emotional stability. These experiences help participants reduce anxiety, improve problem-solving, and strengthen connections with peers and mentors.

The program concludes with a business showcase, where students present their ventures to professionals, including representatives from Under Armour. This event reinforces achievement, belonging, and continued emotional growth.
