OUR PRP PROGRAM

G.R.O.W. Community Care Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) is a therapy-based program designed to help individuals achieve their goals of emotional wellness and personal growth. Our PRP staff offers one-on-one life coaching to support participants in accessing and coordinating essential services and resources within their communities.

​

Rehabilitation staff deliver individualized support in both home and community settings. Our team assists clients in learning and developing daily living skills such as anger management, coping strategies for depression, healing and recovery from trauma, health and wellness, workforce development, organizational and time management skills, nutrition, and financial literacy. Through these supports, participants work toward achieving greater independence and overall mental wellness.

Core Areas PRP Agencies Work On with Each Client:

  • Emotional Regulation:
    Teach coping skills to manage stress, anger, anxiety, and mood swings.
     

  • Social Skills Development:
    Improve communication, conflict resolution, and relationship-building abilities.
     

  • Daily Living Skills:
    Support with maintaining daily routines meal planning, personal hygiene, budgeting, and
     

  • Community Integration:
    Encourage participation in community events, volunteer work, or peer groups to build a support system.
     

  • Health & Wellness:
    Promote physical fitness, healthy diet, natural healing, medication management, and follow-through with doctor and therapy appointments.
     

  • Education Support:
    Assist with school readiness, attendance, organization, and managing academic goals.
     

  • Employment Readiness:
    Develop job-seeking skills, time management, interview preparation, and workplace behavior training.
     

  • Housing Stability:
    Help clients locate and maintain safe, stable housing.

 

  • Transportation Assistance:
    Teach how to navigate public transportation, schedule rides, or plan routes for appointments, work, and community activities.
     

  • Food Assistance:
    Provide guidance and resources to access food programs such as SNAP benefits, food pantries, and community meal services.
     

  • Obtaining Vital Records:
    Assist clients with acquiring essential documents like birth certificates, social security cards, state IDs, and other records needed for employment, housing, or benefits.

  • Goal Setting & Self-Sufficiency:
    Identify personal goals and create step-by-step action plans to promote independence, empowerment, and long-term stability.
