PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION PROGRAM

G.R.O.W. Community Care Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program works to assist individuals seeking emotional wellness to reach a higher level of independence. The PRP program assists clients with accessing and coordinating services and resources in their communities and works to ensure that the consumer has access to the best possible treatment. Rehabilitation Staff provide services within the home and the community. Our Staff assist clients with learning and developing improved daily living skills (i.e. personal hygiene, organizational skills, time management skills, nutrition, and money management), as well as working towards achieving healthy coping mechanisms.

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program works with adolescents who are ten to seventeen years old and adults over eighteen to help them develop the emotional, social and intellectual skills needed to live a healthy and productive life.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Services are designed to promote healthy development of a youth’s behavior, social skills, self-management skills, and family relationships. The program is strengths based and therefore strives for the empowerment of the client, which leads to the youth attaining identified personal goals and objectives.

Adult Psychiatric Services are individualized, comprehensive, flexible, community-based specialty mental health services for adults with serious and persistent mental illness. This service is offered through our Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program in conjunction with the individual’s mental health therapist. The PRP service is delivered in the consumer’s natural and extended environments. This approach affords the staff the opportunity to assess the consumer’s needs, strengths, and challenges in the various life domain areas.
